Author Updates + Goodies
Hi friends!
First of all… it has been far too long! Since I last posted, I met some amazing readers and authors at a few conventions, beat my Monopoly Go habit, got sucked into the world of K-dramas, and released two books!
✨ The Love Simulation , the follow up to The Kiss Countdown, released in March.
✨ Not In The Christmas Plan , my Christmas novella, released in November.
Not In The Christmas Plan was my first foray into self-publishing. I wrote this story when I was feeling down and just needed to find joy in writing again, and this book helped me accomplish just that. I love these characters and hope you will too!
I usually have one big scene in mind that I write towards, and for this book, I imagined a couple slow dancing in front of a lit Christmas tree. My older daughter illustrated the scene for me! Another favorite scene of mine is where the two leads are ice skating. I had my youngest illustrate that scene.
If you’re looking for something cozy to read while you curl up with a cup of hot chocolate, Not In The Christmas Plan is available in paperback, ebook, and Kindle Unlimited.
After a string of heartbreaks, all Eve Matthews wants this year is a quiet holiday with her pregnant sister. But when early labor changes everything, so must Eve’s plans. While her sister cares for her newborns in the hospital, Eve will stay behind to finish the nursery, decorate the house, and create the perfect holiday homecoming—because if she can’t control life’s disappointments, she can at least control Christmas.
There’s just one problem: Grant Simmons. Her brother-in-law’s infuriatingly charming brother…and the man whose peppermint-flavored kiss she’s never forgotten. She pushed him away once to protect her heart, and now he’s back—claiming he only wants to help his brother’s growing family by helping her.
It starts with stolen pie and ends with him taking up more space in her holiday, and her life, than she ever planned. Between tangled lights, flour fights, and laughter she thought she’d lost, Eve realizes what Grant really wants is a place in her heart, and that maybe the best Christmas moments aren’t on any checklist.
Still, opening her heart means risking it all. Can Eve let go of her need for control, or will fear keep her from the one gift she needs most this Christmas?
A Little Gift From Me to You 🎁
I cannot say thank you enough to everyone who has given my stories a chance. In the spirit of Christmas and wanting to give back, I created some romantic phone wallpapers to sprinkle a little love onto your lock screen. I hope they make you smile every time you check your phone…If I did this right, you should be able to just save any picture you like to your gallery.
Happy holidays to all!

Etta thank you so much for sending this newsletter out! After such a busy work week I was in much need of a cozy afternoon with a cute Christmas romance. I read this newsletter this morning and I'm so glad I did or I would have totally missed out on your novella! This afternoon was the most relaxing day I've had in a long time and I loved every moment of it because of your book! The romance was so heartwarming and the humor was top tier, I found myself giggling and smiling ear to ear while reading. Thank you for writing such a lovely romance it really brighten my whole day. And the length of the book was just right, I loved that I was able to read the whole book in one afternoon/evening. I can definitely see myself picking this book back up next Christmas and re-reading it. Hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
